After Eric Koston’s departure from Lakai recently. Lot’s of rumors have been flying around about where he’ll end up. Vans? Nike? His own brand? Love Park Comeback???
I just read that big wigs in Philadelphia are talking about skateboarding in Love Park again. Don't get your hopes up for a return to the old days. The article states "He doesn't want to make skating at the park legal – not every day. But he would like to see one day of amnesty – and celebration - each year." Considering skateboarding brought the X-Games and all kinds of skate tourist dollars to Philly, I think they owe us one.
Guy Mariano Part Seven
Guy talks about Ye Rustic Inn and his party times in his seventh Epicly Later'd episode.
It’s all worth it
Sometimes I get depressed about all the petty bickering that goes on here concerning transition and street plazas, skateboard collecting, and whatever nonproductive mudslinging that surrounds a site with a name like Skate and Annoy. On other days I am pleasantly surprised with emails from people who have actually found the site useful and inspiring. Kyle Pratt of Team Nasty sent in some pictures after getting stoked by our DIY tutorial on screenprinting for skateboards. I’ve gotten quite a few responses from the articles, but rarely any pictures. Send in your pics if you actually follow any of our advice, and I’ll put them up. If you’re in the Morrisville, PA area, keep an eye out for these Team Nasty riders.
Hood River is still Open
When is a hippie jump not a hippie jump? When you hippie jump a hesher. Here’s a few more pics from the Hood river field office, AKA Carl Warren. Bonus shots after the jump.
These gap shots are fun to look at, i suspect becasue of all the “nature” surrounding them instead of typical skatepark fare, namely fences.
With friends like these…
“Hey I just moved out of town and now I’m living in a state that’s lousy with homes in foreclosure and empty pools. My pump isn’t working… waaaah! If you’re going to have a gallery of unskateable pools, why not show some skateboard ready ones too?” Thanks a lot man. I really feel for you, Runaway.
